UPSL
The UPSL (United Premier Soccer League) is a professional development soccer league in the United States that provides a platform for players, coaches, and teams to develop and compete at a high level. Operating nationally with teams from various regions, the league is structured into multiple tiers and conferences based on geography. The UPSL employs a system of promotion and relegation between its divisions, allowing successful teams to move up to higher divisions. In contrast, less successful teams can be relegated to lower ones. Serving as a pathway to professional soccer, the league enables many players to use the UPSL as a stepping stone to higher professional leagues in the U.S. and abroad.
Coronado Athletic Club entered a team into the UPSL's Premier Division in the Spring of 2022 and added another team to Division 1 in the fall of 2022. This bold move was a testament to the club's commitment to providing its players with the best possible opportunities for growth and development. The new teams allowed more players to compete at a higher level and gain valuable experience, further strengthening the club's reputation as a leading soccer program in Southern Arizona.
